Have been waiting for/chasing the ugrade for months and getting no help. They at last updated the MySQL last night but only to the minimum spec version not the recommended one.
Went to create a development copy of the site to test the upgrade and found you can't use their system for that anymore on joomla sites so looks like I'm off to Scala
